MUSIC DEPARTMENT:

Preston Connick - "Music Director"
Preston who is also an accomplished composer, arranger and producer has taken over the reigns of acting Music Director for Denny Magic Studios. He will interface with new songwriters who are interested in working with the company, and oversee the DMS recording studio operations, where he will help produce the soundtrack material that will be used to promote our Rides & Attractions.
Preston also plays an important role in helping to coordinate and administer copyrights
for Denny Magic Studios, and contributes towards the administration of those copyrights on behalf of the company's Music Publishing Division.
Preston has produced music for independent motion pictures as well as commercial DVD presentations since the early eighties. His original songs can be heard on the soundtrack for our "Paris Valley - Quick Start Package" as collaborations with Randel Chow and again with Denny Magic.

Randel Chow - Composer, Arranger and Producer
Randel has produced three commercial CDs while serving as the Vice-President for nearly a decade for The Franchesa Group, Inc. in Maryland. For those Projects he wrote a number of songs, arranged and produced them for the company [with then song writing partner Denny Magic] and made contributions in the administrative end of the music publishing division until his departure from that company in 2003.
In 2006 he rejoined his former partner to help form Denny Magic Studios. Then in 2009 Randel began playing music professionally with several San Francisco bands. His current involvement with Denny Magic Studios is that of song writer... as he focuses his attention on his new family.

Linus Lau - Composer, Arranger and Producer
Linus has worked with Denny Magic and Randel Chow since 1997 when he was a graduate student at Santa Clara University. He was a major contributor to "The Hero of Paris Valley" project with two songs on that soundtrack. He also wrote an original Opera with a collaborator and wrote the original music for that project as well. Working with engineer Grady O'Neil he served as producer of that project.
Eminent composer Gene Shurtleff served as the conductor of the orchestra just prior to his retirement as the head of Santa Clara University's music department.
Linus has since moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles where he continues to pursue his song writing skills and is now graduate of UCLA Film School. He has composed music for several independent films, and in early 2010 completed the background music for the theatrical trailer for the major motion picture entitled "Howl".
After much anticipation "Nature", directed by my friend Jeff Pickett, will be making its festival debut in 2010. Jeff and I worked on this movie — talking about the music and the mood of the piece— for about a year and we are very proud of it! The trailer was just released today Monday - October 18th, 2010... which includes my music from the film! The film stars Ryan Harper Gray and Lyudmila Shiryaeva.
Denny Magic Studios is thrilled to be working with such a talented guy, and we look forward to including some of his new music on our Ride and Attraction projects.

Victor Spiegel - Composer, Arranger and Producer
Victor is a major contributor to "The Hero of Paris Valley" project with two songs on that particular soundtrack. Over the years he has written hundreds of songs that have been used in a number of commercials and product related releases, and a quick visit to his web site will attest to how prolific a composer he truly is.
Originally from Berkeley, California Victor now resides in Woodford, New South Wales - Australia. He continues to market his original music in the United States as well as Australia, and we are thrilled to be associated with Victor's unique material.

Marcel Daguerre - Composer, Arranger, Producer, and Creative Writer
Marcel (along with collaborator Jerry Miller) wrote the song entitled... "A Suspect Like Me" for "The Hero of Paris Valley" which has become a crowd pleaser on that project. Marcel is a professor at Chico State College and enjoys an on going collaboration with his music partner Jerry, and... the two of them have written two original stage plays that have been professionally produced.
Currently the two are considering taking on the task of writing a one-man play entitled "Emperor Norton Speaks" for Denny Magic Studios, and we assume that much of the music for that production, will be provided by them.

Jerry Miller - Composer, Arranger, Producer, and Creative Writer
Jerry Miller is a long time collaborator working with Marcel Daguerre and co-wrote wrote the song entitled... "A Suspect Like Me" for "The Hero of Paris Valley". Jerry, and Marcel have also written two original stage plays that have been professionally produced in Chico, California.
Currently the two are considering taking on the task of writing a one-man play entitled "Emperor Norton Speaks" for Denny Magic Studios, and we assume that much of the music for that production, will come from these two lads as well.

Albert Alvarez - Composer, Arranger.
Albert has provided quite a few musical selections that are used on several of the Denny Magic Studios web pages. Although they are not attached to any specific rides or attractions, they none-the-less... play an important part in how Denny Magic Studios is promoted to the world.
Albert currently resides in Spain.

Howard Frederic/Marzoline - Composer, Arranger, Producer.
Howard is a long time contributor to Denny Magic Studios having co-written "Forever With You" with fellow song writer Randel Chow, for "The Hero of Paris Valley".
In addition Howard has written several songs for "The Golden Horn" project that the company is marketing as "New Orleans Boulevard" - one of the company's "Quick-Start-Packages. These songs include... "Sweet Potato Pie", "Can You Hear It", and "Feel What I'm Feeling Tonight". Creative writer Jeanne Wood collaborated on "The Golden Horn" project with Howard by writing the lyrics
for these songs.

Jeanne Wood - Creative Writer & lyricist.
Jeanne has written two original storybooks (The Hero of Paris Valley & The Golden Horn) for Denny Magic Studios. Ms Wood is also an accomplished writer of Children's Books, and you can purchase her work on Amazon.com.
Jeanne is also a talented lyricist who has collaborated with music composer Howard Frederic to write... "Sweet Potato Pie", "Can You Hear It", and "Feel What I'm Feeling Tonight" for our "New Orleans Boulevard - Quick Start Package."

Tom Rae - Composer, Arranger, Producer.
Tom lives in Dublin, Ireland and began his prolific writing career with us by composing a number of songs for "The Golden Horn" project. This list includes... "Asili", "The Chase", "Something In Me", Meeting Guthie", Someday Soon", Guthie's Farewell", and "Then I'll Know"... which will be used for the closing credits.
Tom continuously amazes us by providing top notch music for many of our rides & attractions and has even written original music for "Watson & Willie" one of our newest original stories. There you can hear his song "Giuseppe Dreams", which will be used during the opening credits for this original story.
Tom has also written numerous selections that will be used for the attraction entitled "Professor Macadamia's Maniacal Maze", and... several fully orchestrated selections for our pirate ride called "Gulf Coast Buccaneers".
Tom's level of proficiency is truly outstanding, and he is regarded as one of the company's most valued contributors.

Allen Thomasson - Composer, Arranger, Producer.
Allen lives in London, England and you can spot his live theatre experience right away when you preview some of the music that he has written for "The Golden Horn" project. Allen uses his West-End Theatre experience to produce music that really helps set the tone and sell the plot in our original stories. His songs truly carry the spirit of the journey along from scene to scene, and his professional theatre experience shines through in all his work.
You can preview Allen's original music by listening to the following selections from our "New Orleans Boulevard - Quick Start Package", which work hand in hand with the original source story entitled... "The Golden Horn".
Allen's music contributions include... "Sneaky", "Born To Play The Horn" (with collaborator Louisa Walker), "Can You Trust A Gator" (with collaborator Graham Large), and "I Never Knew".

Mackey Pamintuan - Illustrator - Artist.
Mackey became acquainted with Denny Magic when he lived in Northern California, now he resides in the Philippines and submits work electronically. He has a very successful career as a book illustrator and has illustrated many children's books for major name publishers. Mackey helped invent all the characters for "The Hero of Paris Valley" project. DMS is thrilled to have Mackey produce work for our company, and we look forward to featuring his talent on future projects.
